Dear Art-Lover,

My name is Silke Kunter-Wilson. I was born in 1963, grew up in Germany and came to Gibraltar in October 1998. Many years later my cleaner at the time signed my up for an evening art class. It led to me becoming a hobby artist. Therefore, I am not as prolific as many of my “art colleagues”.

Painting for me is a kind of escapism from working in an office (which can be a bit of a dry activity). I love colours, and use mainly oils and sometimes acrylics. I paint on canvasses, decorate wooden chairs, and have exhibited in Gibraltar and Spain over the past 10 years. What I intend to portray is simply a pleasant experience for the eye, mind and soul, something to make you feel good every time you look at it. Some of my paintings have found permanent homes in US, Germany, Spain, Gibraltar, UK, and Brazil. And the rest is waiting for the next exhibition and possibly new appreciative owners. Multifaceted artist with 40 years of experience in the art world, with more than four thousand works in Europe and the United States. 

Based in Sotogrande where he works and exhibits his works.
